In September 6th, the Ministry of agriculture and the Alibaba signed an agreement on agricultural e-commerce cooperation in Suzhou.

The two sides will work together in the areas of information entry into villages, household projects, agricultural e-commerce, poverty alleviation by electronic business, and training of e-commerce providers.

According to the agreement, the Ministry of agriculture and Alibaba will launch the first batch of 116 pilot counties of information into villages and households, and gradually promote the sharing of resources between the two sides.

Thus, the rural Taobao service station will provide villagers with services covering all areas of the people's livelihood, including the payment of water and electricity charges, traffic fines, pensions, social security payments and telemedicine.

In this process, data can be accumulated and analyzed, and villagers' credit system can be established to facilitate their future financing and entrepreneurship.

Rural Taobao has covered nearly 18 thousand villages in more than 300 counties in 29 provinces, including 25 counties, 250 counties and nearly 6000 villages.

On the basis of information entry into the villages and households, the two sides will rely on Alibaba's rural Taobao platform to carry out comprehensive cooperation in the field of agricultural e-commerce.
