At present, only one trading company is importing international brand clothing. The clothing brands imported mainly are Armani and D&G, and the importing countries are mainly Italy, Turkey, Thailand, Vietnam and so on.

    Versace and some high-end children's brand clothing have not been imported from Wenzhou port in the past two years.

    Wang Bo revealed that in the past few years, large imports of garments imported from Wenzhou port often had spot checks on quality problems that did not meet our requirements, including fading and so on. In recent two years, these quality problems had not existed, which was mainly caused by importers and international top garment manufacturers, and the quality problems such as fading were avoided.

    Although the quality of imported large garments is guaranteed, Wenzhou people are not so keen on big clothes as they used to be.

    Seen from several major department stores, the number of international large clothing counters has been decreasing year by year, and individual brands have even withdrawn from Wenzhou's image stores.

    Mr. Dai, an executive in charge of an international clothing brand agency, said that the import of large brands of clothing was not only decreasing in temperature and sales volume, but also faced with this pressure in many cities across the country. This is mainly due to the large number of international two or three line clothing brands entering China, and the rapid rise of fast fashion brands. Consumers have more choices, especially young consumers who no longer pursue international brands. Instead, they choose some two or three line brand clothing with individuality and good quality.

    For example, ZARA, UNIQLO, H&M and other fast fashion brands have entered Wenzhou and have expanded rapidly to the five Ma Great South commercial area of the city centre.

    At the same time, with the increasing number of outbound travel, many Wenzhou people are buying international big clothing from abroad by traveling abroad.

    In addition, "Hai Tao" prevailed, cross-border electricity supplier shocks, but also squeezed the survival space of the counter market.

    Therefore, Wenzhou's international big name clothing agent has been developing the national market in recent years, no longer imported from Wenzhou port, and has returned to Shanghai, Ningbo and other ports.

    Wang Bo said that in the face of this form, the Bureau has increased support for garment import in recent years, and has built up a testing laboratory for the content and safety items of imported garments, so as to facilitate the inspection and Quarantine of garment enterprises, set up an information platform for imported garment traceability archives management, carry out information collection and product traceability management of imported apparel domestic consignees, and actively promote the results of the third party inspection, so as to reduce the import cost of enterprises.
