    WAL-MART completed its wholly-owned acquisition of shop No. 1 in July this year, but then came the news of a large number of middle and senior managers leaving, and the unclear direction of the 1 shop's future direction also led to staff's unrest.

    It is widely believed that the traditional American retailer and the No. 1 store growing in China's fast-paced expansion business environment are in conflict.

    The introduction of shop No. 1 by Sam's member store is also an important measure for WAL-MART to integrate the resources of shop No. 1.

    However, there is no specific timetable for WAL-MART to move to a wider area in the future, depending on the pilot results.

    The price of Sam's goods in store No. 1 is basically the same as that of Sam's official website, and the price of non members has gone up to varying degrees.

    The first choice for Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai as a pilot project may be based on the No. 1 store headquarters in Shanghai, which has strong logistics capabilities in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai. However, the 1 shop and Sam member store have not responded positively to the specific operation procedures of both sides.

    At present, the experience of Sam's members' online and offline is not the same.

    From the SKU number, the Sam member store has 593 single items in store 1, which is almost the 1/10 of the number of individual stores in the Sam membership.

    This pilot is in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai, but Shanghai, Hangzhou and Suzhou already have Sam's member stores. Sam's own online shop also covers the city where the store is located, which can be distributed, and the products of Sam's shop are more.

    Take Shanghai as an example, Sam shop basically covers the whole city of Shanghai. If a customer lives in Jingan District, Shanghai, it can buy more Sam products, including most of the fresh food, in the shop. Sam can provide the whole cold chain distribution, and can basically do the day.

    And Sam shop of No. 1 shop may not attract Sam members in the number of goods. There are less than 500 SKU numbers. Compared with Sam shop, the competitiveness is not big.

    An insider from WAL-MART said that the 1 store was more than an opportunity for a non Sam member's customer to try, and it could also give a flow of passenger to Sam's member store.
