The cleaner production audit is divided into mandatory audit and Voluntary Audit. According to the Shishi Shishi solar energy conservation and environmental protection agency, the only one with the qualification of cleaner production audit, Shishi is the key area of cleaner production audit in Fujian province. In 2010, Fujian province implemented 118 compulsory clean production audit enterprises, 18 Shishi, accounting for nearly 10% of the total number of compulsory audit enterprises in the province, accounting for more than 50% of the total number of compulsory audit enterprises in Quanzhou.

The voluntary ratio was about twice that of the compulsory cleaner production audit enterprises, indicating the Shishi printing and dyeing industry, hardware electroplating industry, leather and PU chemical industry.
