Wugang Extends Chain To Promote Industrial Development

Wugang is a steel city and a steel enterprise. Facing the severe situation, Wugang takes the provincial industrial gathering area as the platform, and establishes the "one main and two auxiliary" development goals, which are mainly steel production, machinery processing and manufacturing and textile and garment supplement, elongate the industrial chain and build large-scale industrial clusters.

The entry of equipment manufacturing enterprises has injected new vitality into the Wugang iron and steel industry.

Since the beginning of this year, 16 enterprises engaged in iron and steel deep processing have achieved output value of 800 million yuan.

Wugang textile industry has a pivotal position in our province, with an annual production capacity of 600 thousand spindles and an output of 70 thousand tons. The output value has reached 2 billion 500 million yuan in the first 10 months of this year.

At present, the city is constructing Xinhai, Yi Yuan textile and Longshan three phase projects.

After the completion of these projects, the textile capacity of Wugang will reach 1 million spindles.

To extend the textile chain, Wugang hired experts from the Chinese Academy of Environmental Sciences to make a report on the "12th Five-Year" water pollution control plan and the water environment impact analysis of Wugang, vigorously developing printing and dyeing projects, and forming a textile and garment industry chain integrating textile, weaving, printing and dyeing and clothing.
