Argentina Launches Investigation Into Origin Of Imported Shoes From Malaysia

    2010/8/20 9:41:00 34

    Imported Shoes From Argentina

    In August 13th,

    Argentina

A decree was issued to investigate the origin of shoes imported from Malaysia.

The decree points out that since March 2010, when Argentina imposed anti-dumping measures on shoes originating in China, it has been involved in imports from China.

    Shoes products

The number dropped sharply, but since

    Malaysia

The number of imported shoes surged, but in 2007 and 2008, Argentina did not import such products from Malaysia.

Therefore, according to the relevant domestic laws and regulations of Argentina, the Arab government began to investigate the origin of shoes imported from Malaysia in order to verify the authenticity and validity of their certificates of origin.

    Supplement:

Argentina has recently imposed anti-dumping duties on a multi-purpose food processing machine originating in China and has imposed a 202.79% anti-dumping duty for a period of 5 years.

In addition, the Ministry of industry of Argentina also stipulates the minimum FOB price for such products, which is $17.6 per kilogram, for some polyester polyester woven fabrics imported from China.

Accordingly, if the importer quotes the local customs below this standard, the tariff will be levied at the lowest FOB price, which is also valid for 5 years.

The increase of anti-dumping duties means that the food processing machines and woven fabrics exported to Argentina will hardly have the price advantage.

However, according to the staff of the Fair Trade Bureau of the Provincial Department of Commerce, the total amount of the total involvement of the Zhejiang enterprises is polyester woven fabric, about 3 million US dollars, while the food processing machine involved only 60 thousand dollars.

"Compared with the first half of this year, the export volume of textile and clothing products exceeds US $20 billion, and the impact of the anti-dumping on Zhejiang's export enterprises is limited."

    The staff member said.

Although the anti-dumping measures in Argentina did not affect the import and export enterprises of our province in large scale, the changes in overseas markets aroused their high concern.

Jin Jianzhong, a Changxin silk company engaged in foreign trade in textiles, told reporters that the company has been concerned about the progress of the incident since Argentina launched anti-dumping investigations on such textiles in the second half of 2009. At present, the export volume to Argentina has been reduced by about 20%.

Shaoxing's textile export enterprises are more concentrated, but the impact is not too big.

According to the person in charge of Shaoxing Textile Industry Association, Argentina has been one of the most serious trade protection countries because of the relatively mature trade warning mechanism, so we all have some precautions.

As a food processing machine manufacturer, Yuyao Vero electric appliances Co., Ltd. said that their target market is mainly concentrated in Japan, Korea, the United States, Europe and other places. Exports to South America and other countries are basically zero, and will not be affected by anti-dumping measures in Argentina.

"So far, we haven't exported such barriers as anti-dumping."

As China's fourth largest trading partner in Latin America, Argentina has adopted a series of restrictive measures on China's imports in recent years.

According to rough statistics, only in July, Argentina carried out 7 anti-dumping investigations or arbitration against China, involving products including textile raw materials, electric fans, steel wheels and so on.
