    巴斯夫：9月中旬巴斯夫全資收購汽巴；巴斯夫10月16日宣布，一個新的聚四氫呋喃(巴斯夫以PolyTHF為其品牌)應用實驗室在上海成立；10月28日巴斯夫又宣布，收購比利時瑞克塞爾（Recticel）公司部分聚氨酯業務。

    陶氏：10月19日，羅門哈斯股東投票決定正式批準陶氏的并購；11月13日有報道稱，沙特王國-陶氏化學公司下屬的業務部件陶氏技術許可和SABIC工業公司（SABIC）的合資企業沙特歐洲石油化學（IBNZAHR）宣布啟用世界上最大的聚丙烯（PP）工廠。

    拜耳：10月7日相關報道指出，拜耳公司(BayerAG，BAYRY)和康寧公司(CorningInc.，GLW)計劃擴大在臺灣的投資規模；10月17日，拜耳材料科技于拜耳上海一體化基地正式啟動年產能35萬噸的MDI生產工廠；11月10日拜耳宣布，其位于中國廣州的聚氨酯系統工廠正式投入運營。
