According to Chinese customs statistics, the import and export volume of yarn in 2008 1-9 was 10 billion 146 million US dollars, up 7.3% over the same period last year. Among them, the export amount was US $6 billion 924 million, an increase of 15.77% over the same period last year, and the average export price increased by 1% over the same period last year. The amount of imports was 3 billion 222 million US dollars, a decrease of 7.28% compared with the same period last year, and the average import price increased by 8.46% over the same period last year.
一、全國紗線出口主要特點
1、紗線單月出口數量和金額連續兩月負增長
Yarn exports in September experienced a high growth rate to a gradual downward trend, the number of exports and exports continued to appear in both negative growth. The export volume was 230 thousand and 100 tons, down 6.97% compared with the same period last year, and the export amount was 660 million US dollars, down 5.17%.
The market range of negative growth of yarn exports has been widened.
In September, 5 out of the top ten single markets ranked negative in exports. Among them, exports to Korea and Japan fell by 11%, to 29% in India and 20% in Italy. Hongkong is the largest market for yarn exports. In September, it exported $174 million to Hongkong, down 4.54% from the same period last year. Exports to Brazil (ranked 11) fell for 4 consecutive months.
Exports from most of the southeastern coastal provinces dropped by more than 10%.
In addition to Zhejiang's export growth of 14.69%, exports from other provinces and cities in the southeast coast have reached or exceeded 10%. Among them: Fujian's exports dropped by 36.19% and Shandong's 20.37%.

Asia is the largest export market in China, with exports of $4 billion 957 million, up 13.88%, accounting for 12.07% of global exports. The top five single export markets are in Asia. Exports to Africa and North America increased by 42.5% and 71.6% respectively over the same period last year.
Bangladesh is the third largest single export market for yarn exports. In 2008, exports amounted to $296 million in 1-9, an increase of 63.36% over the same period last year.
Exports to the Middle East amounted to US $515 million, an increase of 66.86% over the same period last year, which increased 94.06% against Saudi Arabia's year-on-year growth and 65.12% in Syria.
Yarn exports to Central Asia grew rapidly, and exports to Azerbaijan Kazakhstan increased by US $31 million 60 thousand, an increase of 96.86% over the same period last year. Exports to Kyrgyzstan were US $26 million 160 thousand, an increase of 97.53% over the same period last year, while exports to Kazakhstan increased by US $14 million 920 thousand, up 435% over the same period last year.
Egypt is the ninth largest single market of yarn exports, with an export volume of US $182 million, an increase of 90.15% over the same period last year, and neither Benin nor Algeria increased by 107% and 113%.
Exports to Latin America amounted to $283 million, an increase of 5.09% over the same period last year. Brazil's exports to major export markets decreased, and exports to Brazil amounted to $139 million, down 5.01% from the same period last year.
Exports to the EU grew steadily, with an export volume of US $836 million, an increase of 15.59% over the same period last year. Among them: exports to Italy amounted to US $265 million, an increase of 14.94% over the same period last year. Exports to Germany amounted to US $174 million, an increase of 9.03% over the same period last year and an increase of 23.4% in Spain.

The export of wool yarn was 755 million US dollars, up 8.55% over the same period last year, and the figure decreased by 14.04% compared with the same period last year, and the price increased by 26.27%. The export of chemical fiber yarns was 3 billion 545 million US dollars, an increase of 16.89% over the same period last year, and the average export price increased by 1.2% over the same period last year.
6、加工貿易出口下降明顯
Affected by the adjustment of the processing trade policy, the export volume of processing trade decreased. The export amount was 3 billion 778 million US dollars, accounting for 54.56% of the total export volume, down 10.35% from the same period last year, and the average export price decreased by 2.25% compared to the same period last year. General trade exports amounted to US $3 billion 15 million, accounting for 43.54% of the total export volume, up 9.66% over the same period last year. The average unit price of exports increased by 10.89% over the same period last year.
7、紗線出口價格持續揚升
In the 1-9 month, the yarn export volume decreased, and the average price of global exports increased by 1% over the same period last year. The price of Asian exports increased by 2.56% for the main markets, 1.35% for the European Union and 13.48% for North America. Among the top ten single export markets, 7 prices were raised, including 14.21% increase in Hongkong, 13.33% in Japan and 14.92% in the US.
Among the top 10 provinces and cities, 8 export prices were raised, of which Xinjiang and Sichuan increased by 17.34% and 19% respectively, and Jiangsu, Shandong, Shanghai and Fujian exceeded 5%.

Yarn imports amounted to $3 billion 222 million, a decrease of 7.28% over the previous year, a decrease of 14.51%, and an average import price of 8.46%.
The main source of imports of fabrics: Taiwan, US $568 million, accounting for 17.64% of total imports, down 17.85% from the same period last year; Pakistan's imports amounted to US $388 million, accounting for 12.04% of total imports, down 22.59% from the same period last year; Korea's 221 million US dollars, accounting for 6.87% of total imports, a decrease of 7.1% over the same period last year.
Main imports: cotton yarn 1 billion 460 million US dollars, accounting for 45.3% of total imports, down 8.89% from the same period last year. Chemical fiber yarn 1 billion 420 million US dollars, accounting for 44.06% of total imports, down 7.1% from the same period last year.
