On April 28, 2025, the 100th anniversary of the founding of the All China Federation of Trade Unions and the National Conference for Commending Model Workers and Advanced Workers was held in Beijing. 2426 people were commended, including 1670 national model workers and 756 national advanced workers. Chen Qiufei, Executive Deputy General Manager of Zhongfu Shenying Carbon Fiber Co., Ltd. and General Manager of Zhongfu Shenying Carbon Fiber Lianyungang Co., Ltd., won the title of "National Model Worker".
Chen Qiufei, a master's candidate and a senior engineer, has been engaged in the research of new materials, polyacrylonitrile based carbon fiber and its composites for nearly 20 years. Under the leadership of Zhang Guoliang, the founder of Zhongfu Shenying, as a member of the carbon fiber research and development project, he conquered the dry jet wet spinning carbon fiber technology for the first time in China, and won the first prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award. He is a special subsidy expert of the State Council, a national level talent engineering technology innovation leader, and a winner of the China Youth Science and Technology Award.
Tackle technical blockade to fill domestic gaps
He and his team went deep into the carbon fiber R&D and production line, analyzed data day and night, and constantly improved the technical scheme. For the first time in China, they overcame the dry jet wet spinning carbon fiber technology, realized the thousand ton mass production of T700 and T800 carbon fibers, developed the T1100 carbon fiber with the highest commercial performance in the world, and met the needs of strategic emerging industries and major national projects.
Create "China Strength" and empower the national strategy
He and his team overcame the 10000 ton carbon fiber industrialization technology, designed the world's first 10000 ton high-performance carbon fiber production base, and was selected as one of the "Top Ten Super Projects of Central Enterprises", which improved the competitiveness of domestic carbon fiber and promoted the extensive application of carbon fiber in advanced manufacturing. At the same time, the developed aviation grade carbon fiber and prepreg technology has broken through the constraints of foreign countries on the raw materials of domestic large aircraft, and helped the aviation industry chain to provide independent support.
Pay equal attention to innovation and inheritance, and lead the future of the industry
He focused on talent cultivation and system construction, continued to build a carbon fiber research platform, and led the "research and innovation team of dry jet wet spinning high-performance carbon fiber industrialization technology application technology" to be selected as the innovation team in key fields of the innovation talent promotion plan of the Ministry of Science and Technology. He reshaped the industry pattern with technological breakthroughs, lifted the great power with "China strength", promoted the major leap of domestic carbon fiber, and injected strong power into the rise of China's high-end manufacturing industry.
The award of "National Model Worker" this time is a recognition of Chen Qiufei and his team having taken root and focused on tackling key problems for 20 years. He said: "The award of this honor is the result of the joint efforts of all Zhongfu Shenying people. We should cherish the honor, maintain our true colors, continue to work hard, and make new contributions. We should focus on industrial needs, write scientific research achievements on production lines and application sites, and strive to be the" leader "of new quality productivity.
