On April 22, the eighth executive council of the fifth session of the China Industrial Textile Industry Association and the seminar on the development strategy of the industrial textile industry during the "fifteenth five-year plan" were held in Suqian, Jiangsu Province. Li Lingshen, vice president of the China Textile Industry Federation, Cao Xuejun, former first level inspector of the Consumer Products Industry Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Wu Tong, deputy director of the Textile Division of the Consumer Products Industry Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Li Guimei, president of the China Industrial Textiles Industry Association and other leaders attended the meeting, and vice president, executive director, representatives of industrial clusters and industry related experts of the China Association for Industrial Textiles attended the meeting. This meeting is a concentrated discussion on the preparation of the "Tenth Five Year Plan" for China's industrial textile industry. The purpose is to gather wisdom, listen to the opinions and suggestions of experts and scholars in the industry on the development of the industry, and provide decision-making reference for the preparation of the "Tenth Five Year Plan" industrial development plan under the current complex and volatile international environment and fierce competition pattern.

At the meeting, Li Guimei reported the key work of the Association, the change and adjustment of the members of the Council, and the guiding spirit and specific requirements of the Central Social Work Department on the work of trade associations. Ji Jianbing reported on the research background, main tasks, key fields, research progress and the next work plan for the development strategy of the industrial textile industry during the "15th Five Year Plan".

The meeting pointed out that during the "Tenth Five Year Plan" period, the industry should actively integrate into the national "Tenth Five Year Plan" strategic development needs, form technological advantages in high-performance fibers, composite materials technology, bio based materials, smart textiles and other related fields, and seize major opportunities such as new infrastructure and healthy China; Continue to strengthen the leading role of scientific and technological innovation, and strengthen the R&D investment in new technologies and materials; Implement the requirements of the "dual carbon" strategy, achieve green transformation, and fulfill the low-carbon mission of the industry; Expand application scenarios and lay out new fields and tracks; Strengthen discipline construction, pay attention to the cultivation of innovative talents in the industry, and strengthen the cooperation between industry, university and research; Pay attention to industrial innovation, strengthen international competitive advantages, and enhance the ability to resist risks; Accelerate the transformation of digital intelligence; Strengthen the in-depth cooperation between upstream and downstream of the industrial chain; We will improve the construction of the standard system and accelerate the transformation from "Made in China" to "Created in China".

Wu Tong said that the preparation of the "Tenth Five Year Plan" for the industrial textile industry should be in line with the characteristics of the industry development, broaden the breadth of the industry and tap the depth of the industry; We should have both ideas and methods.

Cao Xuejun said that during the "14th Five Year Plan" period, the industrial textile industry has made great progress, laying a solid foundation for the next step of development. During the "Tenth Five Year Plan" period, the industry should strengthen innovation leadership, adapt to the trend of scientific and technological revolution and industrial change, help cultivate new quality productivity, help meet people's needs for a better life, improve quality, create brands, focus on market segments, create differentiated competitive advantages, and comprehensively enhance the industry's comprehensive competitiveness.

Li Lingshen said that during the "14th Five Year Plan" period, the main feature of the industrial textile industry was the further continuation of the trend of seeking progress while maintaining stability, and the initial effect of quantity expansion to quality improvement, which is still an important engine for innovation drive and industrial upgrading of China's textile industry. The forms faced by the industry during the "15th Five Year Plan" include normalization of competition among major countries, multipolarization of the world political and economic pattern, acceleration of scientific and technological iteration and upgrading, and decentralization of market supply pattern. To prepare the "Tenth Five Year Plan", we need to be steady and farsighted, pragmatic and deepened, innovation driven, strong chain weaving, and new orientation.
