Build the largest nylon production base in the province

On February 14, when we entered Yongchang New Material Company located in Tianmen Chemical Fiber Textile Industrial Park, we saw transport vehicles shuttling back and forth, and the construction personnel were busy working.

As a chain strengthening project of Tianmen textile and clothing industry, the company will start the construction of 100000 ton high-performance nylon filament project in 2023, with a total investment of 1 billion yuan, and now it has entered the trial production stage.

In the production workshop, the raw materials for slicing need to be melted at high temperature, extruded under high pressure, cooled and solidified to make nylon filaments, and then stretched, heated, cooled, false twisted and wound by the texturing machine to "spit out" rolls of nylon filaments with full elasticity and toughness.

"We have introduced advanced equipment from Japan and Germany, equipped with 14 production lines, which are expected to be officially put into production in April this year." Huang Shilin, general manager of Yongchang Company, said that after reaching the capacity, the annual output of high-performance nylon filament can reach 100000 tons, with an annual sales volume of more than 2 billion yuan.

Not far from Yongchang New Material Company, the production workshop of Hubei Sanyuan Textile Company is also busy. The nylon filament supplied by Yongchang Company is woven by a three circle spinning machine to produce high-quality nylon cloth.

"At present, there are 9 production lines in total, and they are producing at full capacity." Ding Jingjing, vice chairman of Sanyuan Textile, said that 9 more production lines will be added in April, and the number will be expanded to 30 by the end of the year. At that time, the annual production capacity will reach 50000 tons.

Textile and clothing is the traditional pillar industry of Tianmen City, with profound connotation and strong development momentum. Since 2023, the city has focused on extending the textile and clothing industry chain, successively introduced 7 projects including nylon, polyester and nylon 6 chips, and invested 8 billion yuan to build a chemical fiber textile industrial park.

"Reverse the construction period, conduct multi-point operations, improve supporting facilities, and spare no effort to speed up the project construction." Wei Quanhong, director of the construction headquarters of the chemical fiber textile industrial park, introduced.

"As a link in the industrial chain, the upstream nylon 6 chip project with an annual output of 300000 tons is planned to be put into production by the end of the year, which can provide sufficient and stable raw materials for Shenghe Textile, Yongchang Textile and other enterprises." Wei Quanhong introduced that there are raw materials at the front end and markets at the back end, so as to build the largest nylon production base in the province.

At present, Shenghe Textile's differentiated nylon filament, Yongchang Textile's high-performance nylon filament, Yuewu Textile's high-end clothing nylon fabric and other projects have been put into production or trial production, and the chemical fiber textile industrial park has begun to take shape. When all projects have reached production capacity, the park's annual output value can reach 15 billion yuan.
