The Better Cotton 2023 India Impact Report) announced that from 2014-17 (three-year average) to 2021-22, the overall pesticide use of cotton planting in India's "Better Cotton" project decreased by 53%. The organization pointed out that this was due to the intensive training of the integrated pest management system and its publicity activities. It is worth noting that the amount of monocrotophos used by farmers dropped from 41% to 2%.

According to the report, during this period, irrigation water was reduced by 29%, and greenhouse gases caused by nitrogen fertilizer per hectare were reduced by 6%.

From 2014-17 to 2021-22, the cotton farmer cost of good cotton will decrease by 15.6% per hectare (excluding land lease cost). This is achieved by reducing the cost of land preparation and fertilizer, and improving the quality of life of cotton farmers. The average yield of cotton bolls per hectare is 650 kg, 200 kg higher than the national average.

India launched the Better Cotton Program in 2011, and since then, the organization has expanded its farmers' network from tens of thousands to nearly one million people. The organization also found that the number of female workers in good cotton fields has increased, from about 10% of the total in 2019-20 to more than 25% in 2022-23.
