S & P Global Warning: The Epidemic May Lead To The Disruption Of Nike'S Vietnam Supply Chain

A new report from S & P global market intelligence (S & P) shows that as the epidemic intensifies around the world, American sportswear giant Nike's sneakers in Vietnam may not keep up with market demand.

Recently, two of Nike's suppliers in Vietnam, Chang Shin Vietnam Co. and Pou Chen Corp., stopped production due to the rapid spread of the new crown disease there.
?
Vietnam is crucial to Nike's supply chain, with contract factories accounting for 50% of the total production of Nike brand shoes in 2020.
?
According to the latest data from panjiva, a business unit of S & P, in the second quarter of 2021, Vietnam accounted for 49% of the seaborne imports of Nike products from the United States. Nike mainly imports shoes from Vietnam.
