The Co Founder Of Liu Jo Bought The Parent Company Of Luxury Brand Blumarine.
Italy fashion brand Liu Jo co founder and President Marco Marchi has recently reached an agreement with the Tarabini family of the Italy luxury women's brand Blumarine's parent company and the fashion group Blufin family. Marco Marchi will acquire the 100% stake in the group through Eccellenze Italiane, its holding company, but the specific transaction amount has not yet been disclosed.
According to Marco Marchi, the Blufin group will be restructured with a goal to increase its turnover to 50 million euros in 5 years. Blufin group's net sales in fiscal year 2018 amounted to 33 million euros, of which 40% came from the Italy local market and 60% from the international market.
Blufin was founded in 1977 by Giampaolo Tarabini. Currently, it has luxury women's brand Blumarine, girl brand Blugirl, women's wear brand Be Blumarine and Anna Molinari. It has more than 500 retail outlets in 50 countries, including 31 boutiques and single brand stores.
Among them, Blumarine is the most important and popular brand of Blufin group. Its main products include women's fashion, high-heeled shoes, perfume, handbags, scarves and other accessories. It is reported that in September next year, Blumarine will bring a new series of interior design teams to participate in the Milan fashion week. The series will inherit the brand's quality tradition and add new design concepts.
Eccellenze Italiane holdings is founded by Marco Marchi in order to integrate high-end brands in Italy. It aims to enhance the global competitiveness of high-end brands in Italy. Marco Marchi said: "Italy has many well-known brands and enterprises. However, in the rapidly developing market environment, if there is not enough capital, technology and management, these brands will hardly be able to go abroad and compete in the global market. Through this acquisition, my Italy brand dream is gradually taking shape, and the acquisition of Blumarine brand will become the starting point for my dream.
Not long ago, Marco Marchi also acquired the 15% stake in Gruppo Coin SpA of Italy department store in the form of capital increase.
Marco Marchi co founded the Liu Jo brand with brother Vannis Marchi in 1995. The brand was originally made of textile production, and then gradually developed into a garment brand. In 2017, the brand completed a total capitalization of 130 million euros, set up new management and financial structure, and announced the listing plan by the end of the year. But in January of this year, Marco Marchi said it would suspend its listing plan for the time being.
