Recently, consumers have consulted the market supervision bureau of Nanxun District, Huzhou City, Zhejiang province. According to the state regulations, the standards for children towel labels should be class A. why are they labeled as B?
In response to such doubts, the Bureau explained that consumers did not understand two related standards.
GB 18401-2010 "national textile product basic safety technical specification" stipulates: infant products should meet the technical requirements of class a products, and products directly exposed to skin should at least meet the technical requirements of category B products.
It is stipulated that infant products meet the requirements of category a products rather than children. GB 31701-2015, "infant and child prevention and control product safety technical specification" stipulates that children under 36 months are infants and young children, and textile labels must be marked with "baby products".
Therefore, children's textiles can use the technical requirements of B products, "infant products" should meet the technical requirements of category a products, and label "infant products", otherwise it will not meet the mandatory standards of the state, and will be dealt with according to the law of product quality.
In view of this, the Bureau has carried out the standard inspection in the scope of children's towel production and sale, requiring the enterprises to strictly enforce the children's (Ying Youer) towel production and processing standard.
At the same time, we should do a good job in monitoring the circulation sector and intensify propaganda on relevant standards.
