Sun Ruizhe: the steady growth of the global textile industry has provided enough space for the development and cooperation of textile industry in different countries.

From the production point of view, the total amount of fiber processing in the world has increased year by year, and 1970~2015 has increased by 4.07% annually, reaching 96 million 677 thousand tons in 2015.

From the perspective of trade, despite the decline in global textile service trade in 2015, the overall trend of overall growth has not changed.

From the perspective of potential, world population growth and economic recovery strongly support the growth of global fiber consumption demand. It is estimated that the annual growth rate of global fiber consumption will be more than 2.5% during the period of 13th Five-Year.

Taking Vietnam and Bangladesh as an example, textile and garment exports increased by 16.30% and 8.11% in 2015, respectively, in the context of the overall decline in global textile trade.

These emerging economies, combined with their own natural endowments and the reality of their own development, have formed their own distinctive positioning and development plans for the textile industry. They have become increasingly prominent in the world's textile economy and have injected new impetus into the world's textile industry.

All along, the development of China's textile industry has taken a road of focusing on development and common prosperity. It is a road of continuous opening and deep integration. In 2015, the total amount of fiber processing in China reached 53 million tons, accounting for 54.83% of the total fiber processing in the world, and clothing consumption amounted to 2 trillion and 80 billion 917 million yuan.

The volume of industry and the size of the market provide huge space for the development of emerging economies and form a strong pull.

During the "13th Five-Year" period, China's textile and garment industry was guided by the five development concepts of "innovation, coordination, green, openness and sharing". Along the way, there are 65 countries with 63% of the world's population, but GDP and trade account for only 29% and 25% of the world's total.

The proposal of "one belt and one road" initiative is to solve the problem of uneven development in the region.

The textile industry as an important link to the national economy in the region is an important way to achieve the initiative.
