Sophie de Rougement, the newly appointed chief executive of Carven, said that since 2015, Barnab Hardy has become the soul of the Carven Mens men's wear series, and is also an inspirational brand cooperation experience. Carven expects him to succeed in his future work.
Since it was acquired by Soci t t B ranger in 2008, the Carven brand has been innovated under the leadership of art director Guillaume Henry and former CEO Henri Sebaoun. Henri has positioned it as a modern brand. Three designers have been appointed to replace the position of the company. Now the creative director of men's wear has left the office, and the other two designers continue to be the joint art director of women's wear series.
In May, Bluebell, the Hongkong - based luxury fashion brand agent, bought a large share of Carven, a senior French fashion brand with a history of more than 70 years, but the two parties did not disclose the price of the purchase.
The group became an agent of Carven Greater China in 2012 and introduced the brand to the mainland in the following year. Currently, two independent stores in Beijing and Shanghai have been established. Bluebell group has been optimistic about the prospect of Carven, and has bought a small number of Carven shares as early as 2011.
Some analysts pointed out that in recent years, with the slowdown of economic growth and the government's anti-corruption measures, China's luxury demand is slowing down in recent years. The top luxury brands such as LV and Prada have lost their performance in recent years. With the change of consumers' tastes, some second-class luxury brands have seen the market opportunities in China.
