The safety technical specification will be formally implemented.

It is understood that this is the first in China for infants and children.

The mandatory national standard for products (children's wear) has been comprehensively standardized on the safety performance of children's clothing.

Children's wear should be classified as safety.

It is understood that according to the standards, children's clothing can be divided into infant textile products (below 36 months old) and children's textile products (age 3 or above 14 years old) according to age.

Judging from the safety technology category, the new standard divides children's wear safety technology into A, B and C categories. Class A is the best, followed by B class, and C class is the basic requirement.

Among them, infant textile products should comply with class a requirements; children's textile products with direct contact with skin should meet the requirements of category B at least; children's textile products with direct contact with skin should at least meet the requirements of category C.

In addition to all children's clothing in the future, the safety category should be marked on the instructions. Infants and young children's textile products should also be filled with "baby products".

In terms of chemical safety requirements, the standard added 6 kinds of plasticizers and limit requirements for 2 kinds of heavy metals, such as lead and cadmium. In terms of mechanical safety, the standard specifies the rope belts for different parts of children's clothing, such as head, neck, shoulders and waist, and requires no rope for children and children under 7 years of age. The standard also stipulates textile accessories, requiring attachments to have certain tensile strength, and there should be no sharp edges and sharp edges.

It is understood that the standard will be formally implemented in June 1, 2016, and the standard gives a two-year pitional period.

During the pition period, products manufactured and met the relevant standard requirements before June 1, 2016 will continue to be sold in the market.

From June 1, 2018 onwards, all relevant products on the market must meet the requirements of this standard.

Buying children's wear depends on safety information.

Yesterday, we visited some children's counters in large shopping malls, and found that many children's clothing had been executed according to the new basic safety technical specification of national textile products. There were grades of A, B and C. Some products also had "baby products" and other labels. But some children's jackets had their own hood and cord.

But in some self run children's clothing stores, some children's clothing has no tag at all.

Subsequently interviewed many young parents, most of them did not know that children's clothes and toys have national standards.

Shi Huang, a member of the public, said that most of the clothes she bought for her half year old daughter were bought online. She could not see anything at all. When the clothes were sent to her home, she looked back and saw that the quality was good.

She is not very clear about whether she knows that infant clothing must be a class. The clothes for children are mainly considered to be beautiful.

In response, the relevant person in charge of the District Council reminded that consumers should try to choose clothes with fewer ornaments when buying children's clothing.

It is necessary to check whether there are Chinese labels on the products and their packages, whether they indicate the name, address, product type, raw material fiber content, washing method, product standard number, safety category, product quality grade and so on, and whether there is a product quality inspection certificate.

At the same time, check whether children's clothing has pungent odor or peculiar smell. The newly purchased personal clothes should be washed before wearing.
