According to the latest statistics released by the Registrar of companies of the Hongkong Special Administrative Region on 10, as of the end of 2015, the total number of local companies registered in Hongkong under the Special Administrative Region Ordinance was 1288666, an increase of 15973 compared with the end of 2014.

Among them, the total number of newly established local companies in Hongkong was 139209 in 2015.

According to the 2016 business environment report published by the world bank, Hongkong continues to take the lead in the protection of minority shareholders in 189 economies. Hongkong's international ranking in "start-up enterprises" has also jumped to fourth.

Zhong Liling, director of the Registrar of the Hongkong Special Administrative Region government, said that in March 2015, the comprehensive electronic submission document service launched by Hongkong covered all the specified forms.
