"Compared with private express, the degree of marketization of post market is not high enough. The current practice is only a beginning, and how to proceed in the future remains to be seen."

According to the reporter, in order to launch the above business, China Post Express Shanghai branch also specially recruited more than 100 full-time couriers with college degree or above. All of them were formal employees of the company. They had a positive PK trend from personnel and speed to private express.
Behind EMS's efforts is the covetousness of the domestic express market, which has been continuously driven by the electricity supplier.
According to the latest data disclosed at the national postal management conference held in 2016 in January 4th, the total amount of business completed last year was 507 billion yuan, an increase of 37% over the same period last year. The business income was 402 billion yuan (excluding postal savings bank's direct business income), an increase of 25% over the same period last year.
Among them, the volume of express business was completed 20 billion 600 million, an increase of 48% over the same period, the highest daily processing volume exceeded 160 million, and the express business revenue completed 276 billion yuan, an increase of 35% over the same period last year.

The management of a private courier company told reporters that at present, the volume of any business of "four links and one reach" can be doubled than that of EMS.
In addition to low cost and fast speed, private express has been favored by capital in recent years, and has also accelerated its expansion.
A number of investment companies and PE (private equity) have invested in private couriers, and STO is recently backdoor listing.
And a few years ago, the Chinese postal courier, which was also brewed, was eventually withdrawn from the IPO application.
At that time, the reason for the withdrawal of the express delivery was to implement strategic adjustment in order to improve its ability to cope with market competition, and to adjust the organizational structure from the original parent subsidiary company system to a more effective and more suitable system for the total branch company.

According to the reporter, in recent years, the internal mail delivery is indeed adjusting the organizational structure, so the former post Shanghai subsidiary has become a branch.
In the past, the internal mail express delivery mainly consisted of the parent subsidiary company's organizational structure, and the postal express logistics companies of all provinces and cities were all subsidiary companies of the China Post Express Company. The structure of the total branch company has been revoked, which means that the legal personality of many provincial and municipal companies has been revoked, which is conducive to reducing management level and carrying out flat management.

An industry analysis, however, the most important issue is that the postal system should be more marketable in the whole mechanism and system, otherwise it will be difficult to get a positive PK in terms of cost and efficiency.
According to the above, according to the advantages and disadvantages of EMS at present, the cross border logistics market may be more effective. First, EMS has the existing overseas channels of postal services. Secondly, cross border logistics needs aircraft, rather than vehicle equipment. Now, with all cargo express companies, the total cargo volume of SF and China Post Airlines is in the top two.

Li Xiong, deputy general manager of China Post Group Company, said that the 17 aircraft were signed for the purpose of matching the operation mode of China Post's all night distribution network, which is applicable to longer routes, direct flights to overseas markets, and expand international business.
However, the cross border logistics market has also attracted many private express companies to rush into the "sea scouring" army, and even no longer willing to just "run errands", but to create their own cross-border e-commerce platform to share revenue.
