This year, the "Zhang Jian Cup China International Household Textile Product Design Competition", named by Zhang Jian, a leading industrialist in textile industry, is about to go through tenth years.

With the dream of promoting the soaring of Chinese household textiles, the sapling planted in that year has become a vibrant and vigorous tree.

In the past ten years, from the beginning, growth to readjustment and stability, Zhang Jian cup has taken a broad road with the hope of Chinese textile makers.

Looking back on the course of ten years, the growth path of Zhang Jian cup is puzzled, sweaty, joyful and rewarding.

Along the way, Zhang Jian cup has always been close to home textile enterprises, art colleges and designers, aiming at serving home textile enterprises, with the cohesion of home textile industry cluster as the support, and upgrading the design level of home textiles in China as the goal.

It is the overall image created by China's home textile industry, a platform for product design communication, a window for brand culture promotion, and a microcosm of the independent design and development of home textiles in China.

Looking back on the course of ten years, Zhang Jian cup can be divided into 4 stages: 2006-2007 is the initial stage, 2008-2010 is growth period, 2011-2012 is adjustment period, 2013-2015 is stabilization stage.

During each period, the competition left a lot of sparkling highlights.

The main goal of the early stage of the competition is to build up the Zhang Jian cup.

The significance of design is to strengthen the importance of product development and design by home textile enterprises, designers and design institutes, mobilize the enthusiasm of the designers to design independently, and strengthen the backbone of home textile designers.

Precedent

In 2006, the home textile industry has gone through about ten years. It is in the "hazy period" or "chaotic period". How to go next? This question has been mentioned before the industry association.

In order to enhance the design level of home textile products, unite the designer power of Chinese textile industry and promote the development of Chinese national textile brand, the organizers of the Zhang Jian cup competition first put forward the concept of "national textile product design competition" in the industry for the first time, and vigorously publicized the importance of the design of national textile products. At the same time, it actively cooperated with the local government to establish the selection mechanism of the competition organizing committee, so as to ensure the organizational guarantee for the contest.

In the Zhang Jian cup competition at the early stage, some home textile design works with Chinese national characteristics attracted public attention. For example, the traditional embroidery technology is fully embodied in the bed products: the golden sun embroidery bed is classic and noble; the outstanding embroidery craft bed personality is outstanding; the bed design with Yun brocade embroidery technology has unique national style.

Some of them won gold and silver awards.

Although the Cheung cup and its scale are not big, the spark can start a prairie fire. Chinese designers are starting to warm up the design of national textile products.

The construction of the Zhang Jian cup textile design competition was highly valued by the China Textile Industry Federation, the strong support of the local government of Nantong, the active participation of home textile enterprises and designers, and the enthusiastic assistance of textile design institutes.
