According to the latest data released by the Ministry of industry and commerce, 1-11 months, the number of enterprises in the textile industry increased by 28.7% compared with the same period last year, which is 11.5 percentage points higher than that of the same period in the whole country.

The total deficit of loss making enterprises increased by 75.9% over the same period last year, 8.5 percentage points higher than that of the same period in the whole country.

The difficulty of export has become an important factor in the loss of textile enterprises.

Data show that textile exports in the 1-11 months amounted to $86 billion 400 million, an increase of 24% over the same period last year. The growth rate dropped 4.8 percentage points from the first half of the year, down 5.6 percentage points from the same period in 2010, and garment exports 139 billion 800 million US dollars, up 19.5% over the same period last year. The growth rate dropped by 4.2 percentage points compared with the first half of the year, down by 1.7 percentage points over the same period in 2010.

Looking forward to the export situation in 2012, the Ministry of industry and information technology believes that the overall economic situation in the world will remain very grim and complicated, and the uncertainty of the world economic recovery is rising. The textile industry will face greater pressure if it wants to grow faster.

At the same time, although domestic labor costs and resources and environmental costs have been increasing in recent years, China's textile industry has complete industrial chain and advanced technology level, and its advantages in international competition still exist.

The Ministry of industry and Commerce expects that the growth rate of textile and clothing exports in 2012 will not be lower than that of the same period.

As of 2011, the export of textile and clothing has been far higher than the growth rate of international trade in the same period, and the growth rate of international trade in 2012 is bound to decline.

The latest announcement of the Ministry of industry and Commerce means that the growth rate of textile and clothing exports will decline significantly in 2012.

Faced with the severe export situation, the competent authorities suggest that enterprises should develop domestic demand.

The Ministry of industry and Commerce said that with the deepening of national reform and macroeconomic regulation and control, the domestic economy will maintain steady growth, and domestic textile and clothing consumption will continue to grow. The growth rate is expected to be basically the same as in 2011.
