Mr. Wang Qiang, the Australian wool Inspection Bureau, was invited to introduce to the delegates the contents of the upcoming general trading terms (Draft), such as the purchase of wool, washed wool, carbonized wool and wool, to be signed by the representative of Australia.

In the process of making this provision, China and Australia jointly established a working group, including several Chinese staff members who are here today. He is also a member of the Australian working group.

Mr. Wang Qiang introduced the Chinese New Zealand wool standard contract, which was signed by China, Australia and New Zealand in 2000. During these 12 years, the wool industry did not effectively implement the contract for a variety of reasons.

At present, there is no standard contract between China and Australia.

Through the efforts made by the working group in the past two years, we have basically completed the first stage of the task and are expected to sign it within a month.

The new terms have been strictly defined for the standards and methods adopted in the determination of wool parameters, and have also been recognized by the Australian and Chinese industries. The vast majority of wool parameters are formulated in accordance with the provisions of the International Wool Textile Organization.

He also explained in detail the specific parameters and provisions in the articles and the methods of settling disputes.

It is predicted that the global wool production will be about 1 million 100 thousand tons, and the Australian wool output will remain at about 350 thousand tons. There are no positive signs for the wool market in the future. There are no positive signs yet. Europe has not yet recovered and the domestic economic situation is not very good. The market in the second half of this year will probably remain relatively low.
