Most of the high-income and middle-income countries have been removed from the GSP, such as Columbia and Peru, have negotiated alternative free trade agreements or other preferential agreements.

However, several countries in these countries, including Argentina, Brazil, Russia and Saudi Arabia, have not yet reached an alternative agreement.
