    According to Liu Yanwei, director of the Information Department of the textile chamber of the China International Chamber of Commerce, the export of textiles and clothing in China was negative in 1 and February this year. The volume of exports in February was the lowest in recent years, and rebounded in March.

    In the first quarter, textile and apparel exports totaled 50 billion US dollars, an increase of 2.9% over the same period last year. This growth rate has dropped sharply compared with the past.

    Quanzhou

    It is the main export base of textile and clothing in Fujian province.

    Last year, the export growth rate of textile and garment industry in Quanzhou increased by more than 30%, but after October, the growth rate began to slow down.

    At the beginning of this year, the export growth momentum slowed down further, until the recent signs of stabilizing and warming.


    Chen Cangsong, Secretary General of Fujian textile and clothing export base chamber of Commerce, said the European debt crisis led to lower European income expectations and a significant decline in purchasing power, which led to a downturn in market demand at the beginning of the year. A part of Quanzhou's textile and garment enterprises exported to the European Union were reduced by about 30% over the same period last year.


    Chen Cangsong pointed out that, "relatively speaking, the US market is better than the European Union, and the market has gradually stabilized, and the US market is expected to recover faster this year."


    Take Fujian as an example. In the first quarter of this year, Fujian exported $3 billion 786 million to the US, up 11.6% from the same period last year. The United States surpassed the European Union to become the largest export market in Fujian.


    Xin Zhiguang, chief engineer of Fujian Hongyuan Group, said that in the 1-2 month of this year, the group's export volume was 1.46% lower than that of the same period last year.

    By March this year, there has been a gradual improvement.


    Chen Cangsong believes that every year April is the autumn and winter clothing ordering period in the European and American markets, and the textile and garment industry is more optimistic about the export situation after April.

    It is still difficult in the first half of this year and will improve in the second half of the year.

    Take Fujian as an example, the annual export of textile and garment industry is expected to maintain a 15% growth rate.


    Xu Yingxin also believes that in the second half of this year, the export of the entire garment industry is expected to improve, and hopes for the recovery of the European and American market and the recovery of consumption index.

    "But a big problem to note is that even though the market is getting warmer now, because of the rising domestic production costs, the profit level of enterprises is very low, and losses have become a common phenomenon in the industry."

    Textile and garment enterprises strive to expand three pformation directions


    Through the interview, the reporter learned that under the pressure of the economic environment, the small and medium textile and clothing enterprises are trying to seek self pformation and reveal three positive signals of the pformation and upgrading.


    First of all, we should strengthen the integration of creative culture and traditional manufacturing, and enhance the added value of products with cultural elements.


    During the current Haibo meeting, the "Shishi clothing industry creative garden" project was formally established, and many famous fashion designers at home and abroad signed the creative park. At the same time, the Shishi government signed a three party strategic cooperation agreement with the China Fashion Designers Association and the Fujian garment designers association to accelerate the development of the Shishi textile and garment industry towards high-end and internationalized, and realize the pformation from "making products" to "doing culture".

    At the current Haibo conference, 8 colleges and universities in Taiwan, including Fu Jen University, Tainan science and Technology University and Taipei University of science and technology, attended the exhibition of "industry university research docking center" with new technology and new technology, attracting many mainland enterprises to participate in technology docking.


    At the same time, more than 10 enterprises on both sides of the Straits also jointly established the "green energy fiber alliance" to carry out joint exploration of industry standards.
