In December 1st, the Wujin garment and home textile association was formally established. This also marks the development of Wujin textile chamber of Commerce towards a deeper and higher level.

Since December 2010, the textile industry in Wujin has seen dramatic fluctuations in raw material prices, tight credit and increased costs, coupled with the rising cost of labor in recent years and the continued appreciation of RMB in Wujin's textile industry.

In order to gather the advantages of Wujin apparel and home textile industry in the fierce market competition, promote the joint industry, standardize the market of the same industry, improve the overall quality of the industry, and promote the sustained and healthy development of the industry, Wujin garment and Home Textile Association came into being.

The association hopes to reduce costs and increase profits through the sharing of resources among members of the association, so as to further enhance economic efficiency and make enterprises stronger.

Wang Agen, President of Wujin Textile Industry Association, said that the establishment of the two trade associations in the textile industry will help the industry to grow confidence and share resources, create new brands, enter the market and seek development together.
