In recent ten years, the modern logistics industry, as one of the four pillar industries in Shenzhen, has been developing rapidly under the high attention of the municipal Party committee and the municipal government. According to statistics, Shenzhen has warehousing area of about 9000000 square meters, and its land resources are very limited.

However, in 2010, the added value of Shenzhen's logistics industry has reached 92 billion 630 million yuan, an increase of 15.02% over the previous year, accounting for 9.74% of Shenzhen's GDP. In the first quarter of 2011, the added value of the logistics industry in Shenzhen was 21 billion 568 million yuan, an increase of 14.36% over the same period last year. By the end of 2010, there were more than 14800 logistics enterprises in Shenzhen, employing more than 1 million people, and there were nearly 100 enterprises with annual turnover exceeding RMB 100 million yuan.

Shenzhen has become an internationally recognized leading city in the logistics industry and an important logistics hub city in the Asia Pacific region. The original supply chain management mode of Shenzhen logistics enterprises has become a banner of the pformation and upgrading of the national logistics industry.

In 2010, Shenzhen's logistics cost accounted for 15.04% of GDP, which was 2.76 percentage points lower than that of the whole country.

Based on the national average, the logistics cost of Shenzhen's logistics industry exceeded 26 billion 200 million yuan in 2010. Since then, the efficiency of logistics in Shenzhen has been ahead of the whole country.

From the perspective of the development of the global logistics industry, all developed countries are all economically developed countries.

The United States, Germany, Japan, Singapore and other countries are very good cases. From the proportion of logistics cost in Shenzhen to GDP, Shenzhen's logistics operation efficiency has reached the level of moderately developed countries such as Spain and Italy.

In the past development, Shenzhen's logistics industry has made great innovations in terms of business philosophy and business mode. Supply chain management and business logistics have played an important leading role in the development of national logistics.

The highly efficient Shenzhen logistics industry and the continuously innovated logistics organization mode and service mode have ranked the top of China's large and medium-sized cities for 19 consecutive years in Shenzhen's foreign trade import and export volume, which has played an important role in safeguarding the construction of Shenzhen's high-tech industrial system. Under the background of industrial upgrading, vigorously developing modern service industry and changing the mode of economic development, Shenzhen's modern logistics industry is ushering in the best historical development opportunity. Shenzhen will enter the stage of high-end logistics development under the guidance of policies and industry.

Logistics Association ushering in new opportunities for development

With the rapid development of Shenzhen's logistics industry, Shenzhen logistics and Supply Chain Management Association, which was established in 1994, has been developing rapidly. At present, it has more than 400 member enterprises. Its members are made up of logistics, manufacturing, commerce and circulation, finance, information industry, scientific research institutions, tertiary institutions, etc. the member enterprises are mainly located in Shenzhen and the Pearl River Delta, and are distributed throughout various provinces and cities in Asia, Europe, North America and Oceania.

The Fifth Council of Shenzhen logistics and supply chain management association is composed of 42 enterprises. Zheng Songxing, chairman of Southern China international industrial raw material city, was elected president of the Fifth Council. Zhong Bo Sheng, chairman of Shenzhen tengbang logistics Limited by Share Ltd, Zhou Guohui, chairman of Shenzhen yyatong supply chain Limited by Share Ltd, and Ye Jun, chairman of Shenzhen Yihe Supply Chain Management Co., Ltd. were elected as executive vice presidents respectively.
