    According to statistics from Bangladesh Garment Manufacturersand Export Association (BGMEA), Japan has been listed as the third largest importer of garments in the international arena, but the current imported products from Bangladesh account for only 1.6% of the total market value of US $25 billion.


    The largest source of clothing imports in Japan is mainland China, with a market share of 80%., which can deliver goods to Japan within 7 days because of geographical advantages.

    Gradually losing the favor of Japanese buyers, if Bangladesh can overcome obstacles such as energy shortages and lack of basic equipment, it will be able to reach Mr.Faruk Hassan, vice chairman of BGMEA in the short term, and set a target of $500 million for Japan's clothing industry.
