The sample of the comparative test is purchased by the Beijing Consumers Association staff as an ordinary consumer from the large shopping malls in Beijing.

The sample covers 57 kinds of casual pants produced or distributed by 54 enterprises in nine provinces and municipalities in Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Shandong, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Fujian, Guangdong, Shenzhen and so on. The samples are dark colored products, and their origin is related to China, Vietnam, India, Bangladesh, Italy, India, Shenzhen, Qi and Qi.
