    The reputation of the yuan brothers is already ringing in Yongkang, Zhejiang. The two brothers run a team called "emergency response teams".

    The mission of this urgent team is to help manufacturers who are short of workers rush to catch up.


    "Just say hello, we will go to the workshop to make an order, pay the bill after completion, and then we will go to the next place."

    Xiao Tan, one of the head of the emergency team, told reporters.


    For this anxious team, the Spring Festival is the peak season.

    Because as the Spring Festival draws near, many workers in processing enterprises begin to return home early, resulting in temporary labor shortage.

    Xiao Tan told reporters that they usually had about one or two orders per day, but during the Spring Festival, there were basically five or six workers a day, and more than 200 workers sent them out.


    Behind the emergence of the "emergency response team" is the frustration of enterprises facing the lack of work.


     

    Early labor shortage


    Zhejiang, a manufacturing province in which the "rush emergency team" is located, has come forward more than a month earlier than last year during the Spring Festival.

    According to local media reports, a number of migrant workers have been returning home in advance of the end of December last year. Many enterprises are anxious to recruit people, but the local labor market has been left behind.

    Zhejiang province human resources and social security office said, with a large number of migrant workers returning home for the Spring Festival, the problem of recruitment difficulties will become more prominent before and after the Spring Festival this year.


    "Manufacturing workers, mechanical and electrical workers, and service workers are the main businesses that are short of work here."

    "Our team could assemble nearly 800 electric washing machines a day, and 200 more than their regular workers," Xiao Tan said.


    According to Xiao Tan, most of the members of the emergency team are 20 years old and up to the top. They are mainly skilled workers who have joined the team through mutual introduction, mainly from Jiangxi, Guizhou, Yunnan, Anhui and other places.


    Many small and medium-sized enterprises in the Pearl River Delta are also suffering from "cold wave", which is similar to the cold weather.

    Fu Yong, director of production at Shenzhen Hepu hardware products factory, reluctantly said in an interview with Xinhua News Agency: "these more than 10 people have gone back in the past few days and have to go back to the new year ahead of schedule. Our plan for expanding the scale can only be placed after the Spring Festival."


    While reporters interviewed some enterprises in Dongguan, they also realized that labor shortage had disrupted the production rhythm of enterprises to a certain extent, but fortunately, most enterprises could arrange production ahead of schedule without damaging the production schedule.


    Dongguan City Baosheng Furniture Co., Ltd., the person in charge told reporters: "the Spring Festival is coming, and the staff are rushing home. Every day, many workers return......"

    Huang, manager of the Ministry of furniture, said there were more than 400 people in the company and about 1/10 of workers returned home early.

    But the manager of the real furniture limited company told reporters that there was no phenomenon of workers returning home in advance. "Because we give workers spring leave for half a month, they have plenty of time to go home to rest."

    However, she told reporters that if there were workers returning home earlier, they would still be allowed, but feared that these workers would not come back after the Spring Festival.


    Sun Chuanzhi, a professor of social development research at Dongguan University of Technology, told reporters that the increase in employment demand, the decrease of migrant workers, and the inability to meet the needs of wages and salaries of some jobs caused Dongguan's current labor shortage.


    Fu Ruikan, a consultant who has no worries about human resources research, said that at present, the grass-roots workers in the industries with labor shortage are mostly 80 or 90, and their stability is poor.

    "Recruitment difficulties at the end of the year have become normal, and they are spreading to the beginning of the year and the middle of the year, which is an inevitable trend for labor-intensive enterprises."

    Though faced with a shortage of people, we still have to work.

    To this end, companies are trying to recruit people to fill vacancies, of course, a "rush to catch up with the emergency team" seems to be a good choice.


    However, the team is also charging a lot of money.

    Some enterprises have calculated an account: the wages of the workers in the emergency team are usually based on a small time meter or a piece of work. The former, the wages per person per hour is 8 yuan ~8.5 yuan, while the average worker is less than 7 yuan; the latter is 8 yuan per person, while the average worker is 7 yuan per worker.

    Moreover, most of the emergency teams are still working in Yongkang, Zhejiang. For the Pearl River Delta and other enterprises, far water is obviously not able to solve thirst.


    As a result, some enterprises simply put the recruitment advertisements on the urban fringe department where the technicians are distributed more closely, so that they can recruit people to the door.

    In order to ensure the use of the staff during the Spring Festival, many employment parties directly wrote the requirements of "going to work during the new year" in the recruitment notice, and some employment units turned their attention to the universities that are going to have winter vacation, hoping to patch up the shortage of manpower by recruiting "winter vacation work" and "short-term work".


    "But it is necessary to constantly improve the income level of workers, so that they can be adapted to economic growth and labor productivity, and also consider the impact of price increases on real wage income and other labor income."

    Sun Chuanzhi said, "of course, the premise of salary increase is not to affect the sustainable development of enterprises."


    However, it is unexpected that a person in charge of a job agency in Zhejiang said that although many employers' salaries had been greatly improved, some migrant workers insisted on returning home early and not raising their salaries.
