"Recently, the General Administration of quality supervision, inspection and Quarantine has been issued by the State Administration of quality supervision, inspection and quarantine.
National standard
The Management Committee approved the release and implemented it in August 1, 2009.
The standard specifies the terms and definitions, requirements, inspection (test) methods, inspection classification rules, marking, packaging, pportation and storage of washing and finishing garments.
This standard applies to textile woven fabrics.

Washed and cleaned garments, but not for jeans.
In recent years, with the development of China's garment manufacturing industry and the continuous improvement of people's living standard, people have more and more emphasized the leisure function and comfortable function of clothing. The style, feel and appearance quality of traditional garments can no longer meet the needs of multi grade and multi-layer personalization. The appearance of washing and finishing type clothing can make up for the lack of comfortable functions of some garments. In recent years, the clothing of washing and finishing type has developed rapidly, and traditional clothes such as jackets, shirts, trousers and cotton garments can be washed and cleaned, which greatly improves the added value and wearability of the products.
But in the rapid development of the industry, the quality of products, the regulation of marketing and quality supervision are becoming more and more prominent.
At present, there are no relevant technical standards specifically for washing and finishing garments in China. Other similar product standards can not fully reflect the quality characteristics of such garments, making the production and sales of such products not standard enough, and consumers' quality complaints are increasing day by day.
In order to promote and standardize the production and sale of washing and finishing garments, further improve the overall quality level of the products and guide the healthy and orderly development of the industry, it is of great significance to formulate this standard.
