We are the first group engaged in composite differential chemical fiber production in China, and also the largest composite differential chemical fiber production enterprise in China. This year, our annual output of compound differential chemical fiber will reach 60 thousand tons, and output value will exceed 1 billion 500 million, accounting for more than 30% of the total market share of the country. Zhang Feiyue: the plan comes out next year. As a new material, composite differential chemical fiber has developed rapidly in recent years, but it lacks national uniform standards. How did you think of cutting into the field of compound differential chemical fiber?

Zhang Feiyue: it was only after several screening that it was determined. In 1995, I founded Quanzhou Honglin chemical fibre Co., Ltd. (wholly owned subsidiary of Fiber Technology Group), the first private chemical fiber enterprise in Quanzhou. In the mid 90s of last century, the textile and garment industry in Quanzhou was just beginning. I once thought of throwing myself into the field of clothing, but found that the threshold is too low and easy to enter, which means that the competition in the future will be rather cruel. So I chose the upper reaches of the textile and clothing industry, the chemical fiber industry. At that time, domestic ordinary chemical fiber enterprises were dominated by state-owned enterprises, and their output value and scale were very large. Zhang Feiyue: in the development process of chemical fiber, it is divided into two ways: one is ordinary chemical fiber, the road is to win the scale benefit; the other is to take the difference, like us. By improving the physical properties of chemical fibers and making them close to or exceeding the properties of natural fibers, this is our design for the differentiation of chemical fibers. For example, if we want to improve the water absorbency, we need to make the fiber very thin, with fine fiber, large contact area and good water absorption. And composite chemical fiber is to combine two or even three kinds of materials, so that the fiber has multiple attributes.

As you have said, the development of differentiated fiber and the scale benefit of ordinary fiber are two different things. Is the price of composite differential chemical fiber much higher than that of ordinary fiber?

Zhang Feiyue: the profit of compound differential chemical fiber is 10 times higher than that of ordinary fiber, and our selling price is the highest among composite differential fibers. Our tonnes of fiber can be three thousand or four thousand yuan more expensive than our counterparts. The most expensive ton can be sold to more than 60 thousand yuan, a ton can earn more than 30 thousand yuan, and a ton of ordinary fiber will also sell for several hundred yuan. However, our quantity is very small. The production of ordinary fibers is literally hundreds of thousands of tons. As the largest composite differential chemical fiber enterprise in the country, our output is only 60 thousand tons. In addition, our R & D cycle is relatively long. I heard that you are not only engaged in the production of differential chemical fiber, but also in the leather industry.

Zhang Feiyue: Yes, we have set up Xiamen Hongxin superfine fiber material Co., Ltd., with a total investment of nearly 300 million yuan, specializing in the production of super fine fiber leather. The reason why we will enter this field is the island based ultrafine staple fiber developed by us. This fiber can be very thin, and the more absorbent the better, the use of this short fiber to synthetic leather is just an extension of the differential fiber products, and to a certain extent, to make up for the shortcomings of traditional "artificial leather", such as lack of air permeability.

Can real leather be exactly the same as genuine leather?

Zhang Feiyue: basically. At present, the biggest difference between synthetic leather and dermis on the market is that moisture absorption and sweating are not as good as leather. "Imitation leather" is made from needles, PU resin impregnation, alkali reduction, skin grinding, dyeing and finishing technology, and so on, which is made from super fine, uniform, stable polyamide fiber and flexible polyurethane resin.

Next month, on the basis of "imitation leather", your cloned skin will be fully listed. What is the difference between "cloned skin" and "imitation leather"?

Zhang Feiyue: simply speaking, "cloned skin" is an upgraded version of "imitation leather". "Cloned skin" was developed jointly by Shaanxi University of Science and Technology and China leather and footwear industry research institute. New products will be held next month. "Clone leather" has all the properties of "moisture absorption, dehumidification, moisture permeability, breathability" and so on. All the properties will reach the level of leather. This is the first time that the performance of artificial leather has been made in the same way as natural leather.

Then, how about the price of cloned leather?

Zhang Feiyue: the price is only about 1/2 to 2/3 of the real leather. At present, the supply of dermis is far from meeting the needs of people. "Cloned skin" will be the trend in the future. Its uniformity is better than that of genuine leather, and its utilization rate is 20% higher than that of genuine leather.

Traditional leather enterprises are heavy polluting enterprises. What is the production of "cloned skin"? Is environmental protection measures demanding?

Zhang Feiyue: the production of "cloned skin" has made great progress in environmental protection. In this regard, we devoted 30 million to build sewage treatment plants. In the game of "green" (environmental protection) and "gold" (business profit), we refuse to make profits by shopping at the expense of moral value, and reject moral idealism that only has enthusiasm and vision without commercial skills.

Is your cloned skin going to take the road of brand in the future?

Zhang Feiyue: there are different brand concepts and fast selling products in upstream enterprises, but the brand must be done. The key to the brand of upstream enterprises is to do quality first. Good quality, customers will naturally endorse your product. As we all know, "Lycra" brand, it is a new type of fiber introduced by the US DuPont Co, actually it is a kind of spandex. Zhang Feiyue: after the financial crisis, the stock market in Singapore is relatively low, and we are no exception. However, Singapore's listing has brought many benefits to enterprises over the past 6 years. It has been reflected in all aspects: output value has increased from 100 million yuan to 1 billion 500 million yuan, and the number of employees has increased from 100 to 1000, and the institutionalized management of enterprises has also been implemented.

It is also the crayon small company listed in Singapore. Because Singapore's stock price performance is not satisfactory, it was successfully delisted in April 7th this year, and is expected to be listed in Hongkong after being reorganized. What do you think of it?

After the listing of Singapore in 2004, at the end of that year, you moved the company headquarters to the Xiangan industrial area and set up two Xiamen Company. From Quanzhou to Xiamen, what kind of consideration are you living in?

Zhang Feiyue: moving to Xiangan is the need for long-term strategic planning of enterprises. The land scale of Quanzhou is relatively small, which can not meet the needs of long-term development of enterprises. Xiangan is a new area, and also belongs to the Xiamen special economic zone. At that time, attracting foreign investment was more favorable, and adjacent to Quanzhou, it could well radiate Quanzhou textile and garment enterprises.

Zhang Feiyue: we mainly adopt the management mode of the Department. The group divides the factory into 3 business units, specially hiring professional managers to manage. Each department has its own index. They have the power of independent production, operation and procurement. I am mainly responsible for the management of macro strategy. I usually look at the 4 dynamic indicators of various departments: the proportion of staff salaries, the proportion of material energy consumption, the proportion of qualified quality, and the proportion of sales profits. These 4 ratios basically cover the four core issues of the company. If the basic proportion is exceeded, the bonus will be given, otherwise the corresponding bonus will be deducted.

Zhang Feiyue: the proportion of professional managers has reached 100%. The focus of my work over the past few years is to choose candidates, and I will be half successful.

Zhang Feiyue: in my opinion, bosses and managers are not the relationship between superior and subordinate, but the relationship of mutual choice.
