Female Designers Pick Up The Liangshan Yi Dress Competition Award

On the evening of August 6th, "Millennium rhyme and multicolored Yi dress" -- the Sixth China Liangshan Yi nationality international torch festival Fashion Festival Gala was held at the Golden Eagle Grand Theater of Liangshan National Performing Arts Center. After more than 3 months of fierce competition, the international torch festival Yi dress contest came to a close. The Yi women designer Barmou Kim Lo and Jin Guo Guo from our prefecture stood out among the 100 contestants and won the first prize.

Yi costume is the most wonderful and splendid part of the ancient mystic millennia Yi culture. It is a wonderful flower in the Chinese national costume garden.

The Yi People's clothing is gorgeous and colorful. It inherits the special patterns of the primitive totem worship and aesthetic ideas of the Yi people. The colors are mainly black, red and yellow. They are distinctive in different regions, identities and occasions. They are colorful, with strong visual impact and unique beauty.

This competition has received more than 130 entries from 17 provinces and cities nationwide, and 30 entries have been finalists through the initial evaluation of clothing design, clothing industry, art circles, photography circles, national costume and Yi culture, Yi traditional costumes, handicrafts and other experts.

At the gala Gala gala evening, the winners of the Yi traditional beauty contest and the international professional fashion models of the Sixth China Liangshan Yi international torch festival show 30 entries to the audience, showing the charm of the Yi People's traditional dress and fashion.

After the selection of the judges, the first prize was awarded by Shen Xiaoying and Lujing of Chongqing. The two prize of Chengdu, Yin Jiali, Beijing Xing Li and Wei Tengfei won the three prize.

Wen Hao Dong from Yunnan was awarded the traditional clothing inheritance award.

The competition is sponsored by the State Council and the state government, the national intangible cultural heritage center of the Ministry of culture, the China Fashion Designers Association, the China National Costume Research Institute, the Academy of Fine Arts of Tsinghua University, the Institute of ethnic minorities' clothing, Minzu University of China, the Institute of clothing art and engineering, the Central Technology Department, the clothing department and the Association for cooperation.

The contest shows the beautiful scenery of the Yi People's dress, which embodies the cultural significance of the cultural carrier, historical memory and national spirit.

By grafting the traditional culture of Yi People's clothing and the fashion culture of the world, we can promote the differentiation and expansion of fashion apparel industry and promote the pformation of cultural resources to cultural capital.

At the party, they also performed "the moon daughter" and "flower waist bride" and so on.
