Herding Boy Shoes Formaldehyde Exceeds Standard To Retreat In Beijing

Beijing city industry and Commerce Bureau yesterday announced that a "shepherd boy" children's shoes due to excessive formaldehyde content was ordered off the shelf.

This "formaldehyde" children's leather shoes (specifications: 220mm (1.5 type) 225mm (1.5 type): P1015) is produced by Zhejiang shepherd Shoes Co., Ltd.

Long term exposure to human skin can cause respiratory diseases and may cause cancer.

At present, the Municipal Industrial and commercial bureau has informed the product quality and safety supervision department of the place where the unqualified commodity producers are located.

According to the introduction of the "61" children's Day approaching, the city commerce and Industry Bureau has monitored the quality of 10 kinds of children's products, such as children's toys, children's shoes, children's cars, children's clothing, bottles, water bottles, plastic tableware, milk powder boxes, diapers, children's wipes and other 10 kinds of children's products sold in the market, and monitored 154 items of commodities and 35 items of inspection items.

Children in the monitored products were all qualified with wet wipes, diapers, bottles, water bottles, children's toys, plastic tableware and milk powder boxes. Only 1 formaldehyde content items were found to be harmful to the health and safety of consumers. The rate of commercial safety involving goods was 99.4%.
