On the afternoon of May 24th, the 2010 China (Guangdong) college student fashion week's first conference - the graduation exhibition of costume design works of Guangzhou industry and trade technician college was staged in Guangzhou International Textile City.

According to the person in charge of the major, the specialty of clothing design and marketing has established a cooperative relationship with three medium-sized garment companies, such as Guangzhou Li Shen Clothing Co., Guangzhou Jie Xing Garment Co., Ltd., and Guangzhou Tang Dynasty brand and clothing company. The technical and managerial personnel of the enterprise carry out professional teaching lectures for the teachers and students of the fashion design and marketing, provide students with internship posts, recruit graduates and provide professional teachers with internship opportunities.

Through these cooperation, the distance between personnel training and market demand has been greatly shortened, so that students can meet the requirements of enterprises more quickly and adapt to the working environment of enterprises more quickly.

The Department of economics and trade of Guangzhou metallurgical senior technical school was established in October 2007. It is integrated and optimized on the basis of the Department of public business and the Department of basic management.

The Department of economics and trade has over 10 years of experience in professional construction and rich teaching and teaching management.

At present, it mainly sets up accounting computerization and secretarial, international business and secretarial, e-commerce and financial management, clothing design and marketing, automobile business and logistics, tourism and hotel management and other majors.

The teaching and research teaching reform is fruitful: the Department of economics and trade, in line with the tenet of "employment oriented", set up the research group of "the construction of a vocational activity oriented curriculum model", carried out the teaching reform practice of curriculum integration of 05 international business and secretarial classes, and implemented a new round of teaching reform focusing on action oriented. More than 10 teachers participated in the teaching reform of the group. The research results of the intermediate secretary's career oriented curriculum model were awarded the first prize in the 2006 National Research Institute of education and vocational training teaching, and the two achievement of Guangdong Provincial Vocational Training and Technical Education Association in 2005-2006.

Skills competition results are outstanding: the Department of economic and trade carries out professional skills training and textual research for six majors of international business and secretarial, accounting and computerization, secretarial, clothing design and marketing, etc., and the students obtained certificates of skills in 10 jobs, such as secretaries, accounting practitioners, accounting computerization, material flow clerks, property managers, custom tailoring workers, salesmen, restaurant attendants, tour guides and international documentary personnel.

In the skills competition of the city's students, there were many awards such as the two prize of the accounting professional group of Guangzhou secondary vocational school students' professional skills competition, the first prize of individual individual accounting.
