How Much Is The Change? &Nbsp; How Many "Internal Rules" Are There For The Bank?

    2010/5/24 11:30:00 19

    Charge For Small Change

Recently, a friend of mine held 10 yuan, 5 yuan, 1 yuan and other zero notes to a development bank to repay the credit card. When the salesperson reluctantly took over the business, he asked him to pay 4 yuan more. My friend asked why he had to pay more than 4 yuan. The salesman replied in a bad way: "didn't you see what tickets you gave? This is called change charge. My friend was puzzled: "where is the charge for collecting the change?" "Inside the bank," the salesman said.

It is also an internal regulation. Nowadays, it is too much and too annoying for some banks to collect fees. A few days ago, the author took a card to a bank to check the bill, and wanted to print out the detailed accounts of several months. The result was told that it could only be checked for one month, otherwise it would cost 20 yuan. Besides, the author had a small account for his relatives. Because the daily average deposit did not reach 300 yuan, it was also deducted 3 yuan per quarter.

To put it this way, there are not many fees and customers can't afford to pay. But the problem is, what large scale cash handling fees, interbank transfer or withdrawals fees, small account management fees, credit card annual fees, small change charges and so on, the names are too complicated, and some of the charging items and standards are not only overbearing, but also often let people "foggy flowers", unknown. I believe many customers have had a similar experience: suddenly one day, they found that the bank account was inexplicably buckled. Or one day, they suddenly received a reminder from the bank that they owed you an annual fee or a management fee, or even put you on the blacklist.

But once customers want to ask questions, they can say "internal rules". Actually, this kind of "internal regulation" is actually the "overlord clause", such as "pocket money counting", and there is no basis for it. The people's Bank of China Law stipulates that citizens are free to deposit and withdraw money from banks. Large bills and small bills are all legally circulated, and bank counting is no time consuming. At the same time, it is both a legitimate currency and a large number of votes.

A further step is to say that even if all charges are reasonable, banks should show their customers in advance. As a business, commercial banks have little difference from other businesses. To go shopping in the supermarket, there is the price of goods on the rack, to go to a restaurant, and the menu is marked with the price of the meal. It is based on these prices that customers can make their own consumption choices. But in banks, we can hardly see the reasons, basis and standard publicity of all charges. The consumer protection law stipulates that all goods and services should be marked with marked price. As consumers, depositors have the right to know the items and standards of bank charges.

We feel that the banks' fees can no longer be seen as "fog". To solve this problem, first, banks should consciously remove the "internal regulations" and "overlord clauses", and publish the details of fees and standards in the hall's eye-catching position. Two, the CBRC and other institutions should give full play to their role in strengthening the supervision of major commercial banks.
