The Pformation Of Manufacturing Enterprises Is Necessary, But Do Not Blindly.

"Transformation and pformation has become the only way for the global medium-sized enterprises in the next ten years, and it is also the biggest challenge at present."

Yesterday, Harish, vice president of growth enterprise group of IBM emerging market business and Industry Department, pointed out in the "IMB2010 Medium Business Summit Forum" that according to the CEO survey conducted by IBM on global medium-sized enterprises, 86% of the CEO of medium-sized enterprises indicated that they needed to pform, and 56% of CEOs indicated that they had successfully pformed before.

The pformation and upgrading of China's manufacturing industry is imminent.

Although China's manufacturing value-added has been second of the world's total in 2008, China's manufacturing enterprises are mostly at the lowest value-added manufacturing sectors due to their weak capability of independent innovation, irrational industrial structure and waste of resources.

IBM proposes three modes for the pformation of manufacturing enterprises.

The first is the pformation of the profit model of enterprises, which can create profits through changing the product value and pricing strategy.

The two is the pformation of enterprise positioning.

The three is the pformation of enterprise operation mode, such as single plant to multi factory operation, vertical integration to horizontal integration and production outsourcing.

At the same time, IBM is highly recognized by the Chinese government for its advocacy of manufacturing informatization projects.

And the survey report also shows that 63% of respondents believe that information technology can promote pformation and upgrading of manufacturing enterprises; 32% of respondents believe that informatization is a necessary condition for pformation.

IBM thinks that in the process of manufacturing pformation, the top five applications of information technology are ERP, HRM, PLM, SCM and e-commerce.

However, IBM suggests that the pformation of manufacturing enterprises should not be blindly carried out. It should have the corresponding foundation, including stable profitability and cash flow, in-depth study of customer needs and the development trend of the industry market, and establish resources to support pformation and upgrading of enterprises, and have enough information platform to support the rapid pformation of enterprises.
