With the start of the "China ASEAN Free Trade Zone" tax reduction plan, China's leather and footwear materials will further expand its export advantages to Vietnam and other ASEAN countries.

At present, China's leather and footwear materials enterprises have shown great enthusiasm for developing the Vietnamese market and other ASEAN markets. However, many factors such as the lack of market research depth, the high price of commodity export, the less publicity of the market, the single marketing means abroad, and the shortage of talents in pnational operation, are becoming the four "urgent needs" for Chinese enterprises to develop Vietnam market.

Although leather and footwear materials in Vietnam have a long history, they haven't really formed a complete supporting industry for a long time. At present, 80% of the upstream materials of shoemaking still rely on imports.

In general shoe factories, except for employees, factories and hydropower, other materials such as leather, machinery and equipment, glue and needle cars seem to be imported.

The tannery drum is from the mainland, the original leather comes from the United States and Canada, leather chemicals are all "imported".
