Since 2006, the Haining China Warp Knitting costume design competition has been successfully held for the three time, becoming the industry's most influential design competition.

In order to further promote and enhance Haining warp knitting products, expand the international influence and competitiveness of warp knitted products in clothing, plush dolls, outdoor products and other products, enhance the design innovation capability of warp knitting products, and promote the new round of development of Chinese warp knitting industry, the fourth Haining China Warp Knitting Design competition is held.

Li Keling, Dean of the school of costume and art design, Donghua University, said in his speech that as one of the organizers of the competition, Donghua University is a national key university directly under the Ministry of education and the national "211 Project". It has the only state-level key disciplines of costume design and Engineering in China, and is the only permanent and vice president unit of the International Council of clothing colleges and universities in mainland China.

It has established friendly and cooperative relations with nearly twenty famous international institutions.

Over the past fifty years, the traditional characteristics of textile and clothing have been formed, especially in the field of clothing science.
