Timely Launch Policies To Support Traditional Export Industries

Gao Hucheng, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Commerce, said that the appreciation of the RMB, the rise in salary costs and raw material prices, and the difficulties faced by traditional export industries, including the textile and footwear industries, made the Ministry of Commerce launch support policies at an appropriate time.

Gao Hucheng pointed out that although there were signs of a slowdown in mainland exports and the growth rate of imports accelerated in the first half of the year, he was optimistic about the situation in the second half of the year. It was expected that the import and export figures would maintain stable growth and the trade surplus would continue to improve.
