Perspective Of College Students' Self Employment

    2008/4/17 0:00:00 9

It has been nearly 10 years since Li Lingling, a university student in Wuhan in 1999, became the first Chinese entrepreneur to start his own business.

More and more college students are entrepreneurs around us. College students' entrepreneurship is no longer a noun. Real people and colorful experiences make us feel the vitality of College Students' self employment.

Through these entrepreneurial students, we try to outline the group and current situation of Qingdao college students' entrepreneurship, and explore the way for college students to start their own businesses.

2007, for college graduates in Qingdao, it is the first year of business.

It seems as if overnight, entrepreneurs have sprung up around us, some of them from universities in Qingdao, and others from Qingdao.

And the industry they are involved in is even more diverse.

From them, we can see that the group of college students is rising. These post-80s entrepreneurs are opening up their own fields with their own actions.

Gao Yulong and Li Chao founded the ten year Environmental Art Design Co., Ltd. in Qingdao; Lin Xiaoping founded the U+ yoga hall; Tang Chong Yun and Zhang Yongtao founded the Qingdao city online; Nie Mingyong, founded the Qingdao New Field Information Service Co., Ltd., Xiao Yi Yang, Yang Zhen, founded the Qingdao Branch Sheng Network Technology Co., Ltd.

These people set up their own companies before and after 2007, pforming their identity from students to businessmen. They represent the ideals of contemporary college students about entrepreneurship.

In July 2006, a survey conducted by the Beijing university student entrepreneurship guidance center showed that 72% of the respondents had entrepreneurial intentions.

A survey from Shanghai in 2007 showed that more than 70% of students had entrepreneurial dreams.

A survey from Qingdao Technological University also shows that 93.1% of students agree that entrepreneurship is a way of life and life experience.

Although there are not many entrepreneurs in Qingdao, they have aroused people's attention from the beginning.

We can not categorize these people's business scope. They have their own majors, such as Gao Yulong and Li Chao, others have nothing to do with their majors, like Lin Xiaoping who founded yoga.

"For entrepreneurship, the definition of young people is still broad and diverse."

Shen Wenqing, director of the Student Affairs Office of Qingdao Technological University, told reporters that more than half of the college students believe that whether it is "a few people in partnership with a small company", "running a IT company", "stall selling things", "opening a small restaurant", or "opening a shop on the Internet", it is regarded as an undertaking.

"When I was freshman, I read a book about college students' entrepreneurship. I talked about several stories about Tsinghua University Students' entrepreneurship. I was inspired and determined to start my own company in the future."

Because of his entrepreneurial experience, Nie Mingyong was rated as the star of 2007 Chinese university students.

When he talked with reporters about his own business, he said that the overall environment of the society is still conducive to college students' entrepreneurship. As a student, he registered a company. Some people questioned and many people encouraged it. "Some people think that I am not mature enough to start a business now, and from experience, money and energy, it is not suitable for entrepreneurship.

But there are many people who encourage me, support me, agree with me, and think young people should rush. "

Like Nie Mingyong, Xiao Yi Yang and Yang Yang earn their homepage from the Internet technology and work done by them in the University. After second months of graduation, they founded the Qingdao science and Technology Network Co., Ltd.

Xiao Yiyang said that both his parents wanted him to have a stable job, to start a business hard, and to have no family friends at home. "Comfort is not what we want. Only constant challenges and continuous progress are our end result."

    Xiao Yiyang said.

With the establishment of the company and achievement after another, Xiao Yi's parents have changed from the initial opposition to support, and in order to support Xiao Yi Yang, the family has invested in the development of the company.

Compared with them, Gao Yulong and Li Chao are more fortunate than others, from designing Internet cafes to selling Tibetan ornaments, and finally doing their old business -- design.

They had the help of teachers and good people all the way.

Do it for yourself. The two say it's a sense of self-control. Gao Yulong and Li Chao say they like this feeling. Though busy every day, they feel very fulfilling.

Li Dong, Vice Chancellor of Qingdao Technological University, thinks that there are many reasons for the entrepreneurship of college students, but without exception, their entrepreneurial goals all point to the realization of the value of life. "In their realization of their self-worth, they mainly include creating wealth through entrepreneurship, doing business through entrepreneurship, completing their social mission through entrepreneurship, and contributing to society through entrepreneurship.

They all want to have a magnificent life.
