High end silk textile industry is one of the leading industries of Wujiang District, Suzhou City, which is one of the hundred billion level industries. The water jet weaving industry in Wujiang District began in the early 1990s. Due to low threshold, high water consumption and extensive management, it has gradually developed into an industry with scattered business forms and prominent pollution problems, becoming a blocking point for the green, circular and low-carbon development of Wujiang textile industry. At the end of 2022, the special team of Wujiang District highlighting the rectification of ecological and environmental problems carried out special actions for the improvement of the water jet weaving industry, prepared the Standardization Requirements for the Improvement of Water Jet Weaving Enterprises in Wujiang District in 2023 (for trial implementation), and implemented the enterprise on-site evaluation and scoring system to promote the green and high-quality development of enterprises.

Entering Wujiang Wenjian Weaving Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Wenjian Weaving) located in Taoyuan Town, Wujiang District, more than 2000 square meters of green epoxy floor extends all the way from the factory gate to the factory. On both sides of the site in the plant area, there are double-layer steel structure shelves. The empty panel area, raw material area, blank area, finished product area, etc. are clearly classified and the articles are neatly stacked. The hazardous waste storage room, COD online monitoring room, sewage collection tank, rainwater reservoir, comprehensive cleaning area, waste solid material area and other functional areas are orderly distributed.

In this promotion, Wenjian Weaving not only pasted ceramic tiles on the walls of drainage ditches and sewage pools as required to prevent the attachment and leakage of oily impurities, but also installed small suction fans on water jet looms and innovatively installed waterproof baffles to effectively prevent water stains from splashing onto the ground in combination with daily use. At the same time, Wenjian Weaving also invested more than 30000 yuan to introduce the first suction fan for the coiler in Taoyuan Town, so as to implement the anti-seepage and leakage prevention, and realize the workshop's "no dripping".

"High energy consumption, non environmental protection" is the stereotype of many people in the textile industry. Now, Wujiang textile industry is going green.

There are more than 1600 import and export enterprises in the Oriental Silk Market in Shengze Town. Many enterprises not only have exhibition halls like "fabric supermarket", but also have a design room and a laboratory. This "two rooms and one hall" mode has been the standard configuration of many enterprises. Now, after the fabric order is produced, instead of rushing to deliver, it is sent to the laboratory at the first time. A person in charge of a foreign trade enterprise said that they would spend at least two days after receiving the printed and dyed fabrics to send the finished fabrics to a professional environmental protection testing agency. Before that, they would first test in their own laboratory to predict the risks for customers in advance.

There are also more fabrics with green "genes" to "see the world" from the laboratory. Not long ago, this foreign trade enterprise developed a green "iterative polyester" together with colleges and universities. This material can save 50% and 80% of energy and reduce the use of 30% dyeing and post-treatment auxiliaries in the production process. It is this "green guarantee" that enabled them to receive 13 million meters of fabric orders in the first two months of this year.

More green actions are still taking place in the town. In another printing and dyeing enterprise, the traditional dye vat was replaced by "digital printing". The patterns and patterns are printed on the paper, and then combined with the fabric through thermal sublimation. The link of water use is completely omitted. In order to further green upgrade, the enterprise also closed many oil-based ink printing production lines, expanding the scale of water-based ink printing. The quality control manager of the enterprise said that the difference between water-based ink and oil-based ink is that the content of ingredients harmful to human health has been reduced by 50% to 60%, and the transformation and upgrading towards a greener direction, which is what many enterprises in their industry are doing.

Improving the scientific and technological content, reducing pollution emissions, and accelerating the sustainable development of low-carbon cycle are becoming the new trend of Wujiang textile industry chain.

Shengze Town of Wujiang is an important textile fabric production base in China. Since 2024, in order to promote the green development and low-carbon transformation of the local textile industry, the Suzhou Rural Commercial Bank and the Shengze Town Government have jointly established the project of "Guidelines for Low Carbon Transformation and Financial Innovation of the Textile Industry", launched the "Five Ones" green financial service model, and helped the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries with financial "live water".

"It took only three days to issue a 6 million yuan 'green loan' to our enterprise, which solved the urgent need of the enterprise." An environmental technology company in Suzhou is a typical "green" enterprise, mainly engaged in waste gas, waste water, noise, desulfurization and denitrification treatment projects. With the further implementation of the dual carbon policy, the demand for environmental protection technologies and devices is growing, and the sales orders of environmental protection patented products developed by enterprises are increasing. At the same time, due to the increase of enterprise accounts receivable, it is urgent to supplement working capital.

In order to quickly provide financial water for enterprises, the competent departments of local governments and Suzhou Rural Commercial Bank jointly launched the support program "carbon information finance" with both "administrative guidance" and "financial incentives", established a dynamic white list database of "carbon information finance" enterprises, and integrated the carbon emission level, green product certification, energy conservation and technological transformation of textile industry enterprises The digital management level and other contents are included in the evaluation indicators to form an action plan to guide the low-carbon transformation of enterprises in the textile industry. In the "Five Ones" model, a set of accounting methods has been established to quantify the emission reductions brought about by enterprises' implementation of energy-saving technological transformation measures in a unified standard, effectively filling the blank of carbon emission reduction accounting in the whole process of the domestic textile industry.
