On July 22, 2024, the China National Garment Association officially released the list of "Top 100 Garment Enterprises in China in 2023".

According to the principle of "members' participation and voluntary declaration", after the preliminary review and recommendation of the local clothing associations (merchants), the China Clothing Association verified and ranked the three indicators of "operating income", "total profit" and "operating income profit margin" of the declared enterprises. In the end, 138 enterprises were listed nationwide, including 36 in Jiangsu, 27 in Zhejiang, 16 in Shandong, 13 in Guangdong, 10 in Beijing, 9 in Fujian, 5 in Shanghai and Sichuan, 3 in Hunan and Liaoning, 2 in Anhui, Hebei, Henan, Shanxi and Jilin, and 1 in Tianjin.

In 2023, the benefits of the top 100 enterprises in China's garment industry will keep growing, and the threshold for entry will reach a record high. The top 100 "operating revenue" enterprises achieved a total operating revenue of 889.3 billion yuan, an increase of 8.4% over the previous year. The operating revenue of the top enterprises and the threshold for entry increased by 11.7% and 20.2% respectively year on year; Among them, there are 12 enterprises with operating revenue exceeding 10 billion yuan and 73 enterprises with operating revenue exceeding 1 billion yuan. The "total profit" top 100 enterprises achieved a total profit of 50.21 billion yuan, up 3.1% over the previous year. The total profit of the top enterprises and the threshold for entry increased by 27.5% and 42.5% respectively year on year; Among them, there are 12 enterprises with total profits exceeding 1 billion yuan and 48 enterprises with total profits exceeding 100 million yuan. The average profit margin of the top 100 "operating revenue profit margin" enterprises was 10.8%, up 1.0 percentage points over the previous year. The operating revenue profit margin of the top enterprises and the threshold for entry were 0.3 and 1.4 percentage points higher than the previous year, respectively.

Top 100 enterprises are important leaders in developing new quality productivity and building a modern industrial system. They are backbone forces in promoting the transition from a strong garment manufacturing country to a strong fashion country, and have a strong driving role in high-quality development of China's garment industry.
