The 93Rd International Wool Textile Conference Was Successfully Held In Adelaide

On April 16-18, the 93rd IWTO International Wool Textile Conference was successfully held in Adelaide, Australia, the capital of South Australia. More than 300 industry practitioners from all over the world and representatives from relevant fields attended this international grand event. The Chinese delegation was led by Yang Zhaohua, Vice President of the China Textile Industry Federation, and Liu Jiaqiang, President of the China Wool Textile Industry Association. A delegation composed of more than 30 representatives from national inspection institutions, wool textile trade institutions, manufacturing enterprises and industrial cluster governments attended the meeting.

The meeting covered a wide range of topics, from wool fiber to end products, brand value and retail market analysis, standard formulation, introduction to EU clothing label legislation, etc. Research fields include carbon emission reduction, carbon footprint, sustainable development and product traceability; Wool indoor textile application and exploration sharing; Health and application of wool products; Wool trade; Market information analysis; To the terminal retail brand sharing fee trend and other content. At the same time, the working groups of the IWTO also shared their annual work in their respective fields at the meeting.

The conference provided a platform for the global wool textile industry to share, strengthen exchanges and exchange information. On behalf of the National Committee for China's accession to the WTO, the China wool Association has been an executive member for 26 years, and has organized and encouraged China's wool textile industry and enterprises to speak more on the international platform. This time, two representatives from China made a sharing speech at the meeting: Wang Li, director of the Fiber Quality Monitoring Center of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region/National Wool Quality Inspection and Testing Center; Yang Shaowei, Chairman of China National Committee of the WTO and President of Zhejiang Red Sun Wool Textile Co., Ltd.

The importance attached by various fields and brands to the carbon footprint and sustainable development of wool can be seen from the work done by various countries in the sustainable development of wool. In her speech, Wang Li introduced China's research on the carbon footprint of sheep breeding in the wool textile industry. She gave a wonderful explanation in the fields of feed, energy utilization, breeding technology, dung and soil management, carbon storage and origin traceability, focusing on the existing origin traceability methods and bio fingerprint technology sharing, It provides an efficient new idea for the basis of carbon emission accounting.

In his speech, Yang Shaowei introduced the challenges faced by the wool textile industry, from the establishment of the digital ecosystem of the whole industry chain to the effective data dissemination of the upstream and downstream of the industry chain, and from enterprise practice to sustainable work, The transformation, upgrading, digitalization and intellectualization of enterprises are introduced to share the future carbon emission data collection and the feasibility of developing product traceability schemes for customers. The focus was on the introduction of intelligent stereoscopic warehouse, AI top cleanliness detector and other technologies to help enterprises reduce labor intensity and improve the working environment.
