Bangladesh'S Clothing Exports To The United States Have Increased By 13.99% Annually Over The Past Five Years
Bangladesh's Daily Star reported on August 9 that Bangladesh is the third largest clothing import country of the United States, accounting for 9.75% of the total clothing imports of the United States. From 2017 to 2022, the average annual growth of US clothing imports from Bangladesh is 13.99%. In 2022, the United States will import 9.74 billion dollars of clothing from Bangladesh, an increase of 36%. China is still the largest clothing import source country of the United States, accounting for 21.75% of the total clothing imports of the United States. Vietnam ranked second, accounting for 18.26%. Hassan, chairman of BGMEA, said that Bangladesh still accounted for a small proportion of the total clothing imports of the United States, with huge growth potential.
