On July 3, Shantou International Textile City will officially start construction in Chaoyang District of Shantou City. The project will build a modern industrial park and industrial chain hub integrating technology research and development, production and manufacturing, product exhibition and sales, and intelligent logistics. As the final project of Shantou's "four major projects" of textile and clothing, Shantou International Textile City plans to invest 30.5 billion yuan in total, with a planned land area of 5000 mu. The project includes a global textile procurement center with a construction area of 750000 square meters and an intelligent textile industrial park with a construction area of 2.4 million square meters.

The commencement of Shantou International Textile City indicates that the construction of "four major projects" has officially entered the fast lane. In the future, Shantou's textile and clothing industry will build a complete industrial chain and market production and marketing system from nylon raw materials in the upstream to weaving, dyeing and finishing in the midstream, and then to the textile trading market and the global clothing e-commerce supply chain in the downstream.
