This year marks the 20th anniversary of the founding of China Charity List. Over the past 20 years, the philanthropist donations included in the China Charity List have totaled 110.8231.5 billion yuan; Charitable enterprise donations included totaled 190908.83 billion yuan, with a total of 301.7319.8 billion yuan for the two items. Based on the China Charity List, we have witnessed, recorded and promoted the development and innovation of philanthropists and charity enterprises in large donations over the past 20 years. On the basis of the release of the list, the current China Charity List also paid tribute to the annual philanthropists, annual philanthropic enterprises, model foundations and charity projects that have made outstanding contributions to social welfare undertakings.

The China Charity List was initiated by the Public Welfare Times, and has been compiled and published every year since 2004. The list uses enterprises or individuals who actually donated more than 1 million yuan annually as data collection samples. It is the first list in China to record the data of large donations, and is known as the "love list of Chinese wealthy people".

The data of the list mainly comes from six aspects: donation data released by government departments, data provided by donors, data on donations accepted by public welfare institutions, data published in the annual reports of listed companies, donation data publicly reported by the media, and public welfare archives data of the Public Welfare Times. The list is finally formed through data comparison and detailed investigation and verification through different channels.
