Appreciate The PUMA X STAPLE Co Branded "Gidra" Series Design
Staple, the "dove king" from New York, and PUMA, the sports brand giant, have announced their cooperation for some time. The latest official release of their cooperation series "Gidra".
The inspiration for this cooperation came from Gidra, a very influential publication founded by a group of students in 1969 to respond to anti Asian sentiments. So each piece reflects the intention and artistic style in the design elements of the original publication, and references the classic elements in the PUMA Terror King set.
The cooperation items include two pairs of shoes with dragon scales and a dragon shaped T-shirt inspired by King Ghidorah. The yellow shoes symbolize King Ghidorah, and the other pair is presented in black. This color combination is recognition of the common influence of the two famous anti discrimination movements, the Anti yellow peril Theory and the Black Panther Party.
