As the capital of Jiangxi province Nanchang traditional advantage industry and important rich people industry, Nanchang modern textile industry rose in the late 1980s. Qingshanhu District, which has more than 2000 knitwear enterprises, is the main cluster area of Nanchang modern knitwear industry, and is also a well-known knitting and clothing industry base in China.

Under the new situation of rising labor cost and changing foreign trade situation, how to transform and develop modern textile industry in Nanchang? Recently, the reporter visited Qingshanhu District of Nanchang city.

Nanchang Zhongtuo Garment Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Zhongtuo garment") has carried out technical transformation of "5g + smart factory" in 2020, which reduces the complexity of workers' crafts, simplifies the process and improves the output value.

"Under the intelligent system, we use mobile phones as employees' terminals. By scanning the QR code, we can collect the production progress of employees in real time, including the quality, and basically realize paperless office." Qiu Zhengxiong, deputy general manager of Zhongtuo garment, said that through digital empowerment, the company's production efficiency and product quality have been greatly improved, "the production efficiency has increased by about 20%, and the labor cost has been saved by about 30%.

In the digital era, "Internet +" and "5g +" and other intelligent and information transformation and upgrading have gradually become a new track for enterprise competition. Therefore, Qingshanhu District of Nanchang City, through policy guidance, encourages enterprises to introduce intelligent production equipment, and promotes the transformation of the needle spinning industry from "manufacturing" to "intelligent manufacturing".

Li Xiaojun, deputy director of Qingshanhu District Bureau of science and technology and industry information, said that the district would give appropriate financial subsidies in terms of intelligent equipment transformation of knitwear enterprises. "In addition to policy and financial support, we pay more attention to solving some practical problems for enterprises, such as solving the livelihood problems of employees' accommodation and children's enrollment."

According to statistics, at present, more than 5000 sets (sets) of intelligent equipment have been popularized and applied in Qingshanhu District of Nanchang city. The intelligent application rate of key textile enterprises has reached more than 60%. 5g and other digital means are gradually widely used in the textile industry.

In the face of market pressure, many textile enterprises in Qingshanhu district have practiced their "internal skills" and tried to "walk on two legs" in the international and domestic markets.

"The purchasing power and consumption power of foreign markets are on the downward trend." Yan Ming, manager of Nanchang Zhongda Garment Co., Ltd., said that at present, the company is actively expanding the international market and stabilizing overseas orders, and at the same time, it is starting to transfer export to domestic sales and expand the domestic market. "We also began to independently study children's wear brands, seeking diversified development."

Li Xiaojun said that the Qingshanhu district has given full play to the role of textile chamber of Commerce and other industrial organizations, and specially established the Qingshanhu District Designers Association. Through the introduction of Jiangxi cross-border E-Commerce Association and Nanchang modern knitwear garment chamber of Commerce, and the local cross-border e-commerce Industrial Park and flow economy industrial park, Qingshanhu District has further expanded the international and domestic markets.

Qingshanhu District of Nanchang is striving to build a 100 billion level modern knitwear industry cluster by promoting digital empowerment, opening domestic market and creating its own brand.
