The Experiment Of Small Scale Artificial Feed Co Breeding Of Small Silkworm In Chongqing Institute Of Silkworm Science Was Successful

From May 5 to June 11, 2022, the scientific research team of Chongqing Academy of silkworm Sciences adopted the artificial feed co breeding mode of 1-3-year-old young silkworm in Qianjiang district. A total of 60 silkworm varieties such as "Youshi No.1" and "MB" were selected and distributed to 11 pilot villages and towns such as Taiji town for large-scale trial rearing after 3-year-old.

The results showed that this batch of feed silkworms had excellent comprehensive characters, neat development, low dead cage rate and strong disease resistance; The cocoon yield is higher, the cocoon quality is better and the cocoon shell rate is higher. According to the statistics, the cocoon yield of the "New Silkworm Variety" is up to RMB 46.6 million, and the cocoon yield is up to RMB 46.6 million.

The success of this experiment promoted the popularization and application of artificial feed silkworm rearing industrialization in Qianjiang District, and made due contributions to promoting agricultural efficiency, increasing farmers' income, regional economic development and Rural Revitalization.
